MPEG Layer 3 (MP3) is a very high-quality, near-CD sounding encoding scheme. The files are somewhat larger than real audio files and may take a bit longer to download on slower modems.
Playback of MP3 is a little less automatic than Real Audio, and may require manually configuring your browser.

General shipping information
Perfect Beat has chosen the United States Postal Service to deliver your
order. The main reason is because it is less expensive, faster service,
Saturday delivery, and in our opinion, more reliable. If 70% or more of your
order is in stock when we pick your order, we will ship it within 24 hours of
receipt. Normal cut off time is 10AM for same day processing, orders placed
after this time, will be shipped the following business day. If your order
is less than 70% in-stock, we will hold the order for up to 7 business days
as we try to obtain the back ordered item(s). If after 7 days we do not have
at least a 70% fill, we will ship to you whatever is in stock, and back order
the remaining items. As soon as your back ordered items become available,
they will be shipped to you, at NO additional shipping cost. This means you
will be charged the full amount of postage on your first shipment, but you
will not be charged any postage on subsequent shipping of back ordered items.

Keep in mind, Perfect Beat does not typically ship orders on Saturday's,
Sunday's and national holidays as listed below...

Orders received on these days, will be processed and shipped on the following
business day.
U.S. SHIPPING Delivery Time
All domestic orders are shipped first class mail, or priority mail. Though
the United States Postal Service claims customers should receive their mail
within 2-3 business days, keep in mind this is not a guarantee and in rare
cases can take up to 2 weeks for delivery. It is very uncommon, but be
advised we have no control of the shipping of your order once it is with the
post office. If your order is urgent, you can select overnight mail.
Please keep in mind that even though Perfect Beat's online inventory levels
are updated daily, products shown as "in-stock" may occasionally be
backordered. If this occurs, the item(s) will ship when re-stocked. Because
we also maintain a retail store, there are times product sells out in the
store by the time your order is picked. We make every effort to ensure there
is sufficient inventory, however we cannot guarantee the accuracy of items
showing in-stock. If there is an urgent need for an item, you may wish to
call us and verify the status of the item, and ask us to hold it for your
order.
Backorders
If in the event you have item(s) on backorder, we will ship them to you when
they are back in stock. If in the event we are unable to locate an item
after 30 days of your order, we will e-mail you telling you the order has
been canceled. At that time, we will code the item on the site as "No Longer
Available." You may want to check back from time to time, as we have
contacts across the globe, and sometimes can get stock of deleted items. We
try our hardest to maintain the integrity of inventory levels as well as
coding items that are no longer in print as to not disappoint our customers.
But be advised, this is on-going maintenance, and sometimes you may order an
item that has not yet been coded as deleted, and you may not receive it.
Deleted Items
Due to the nature of our business, you need to understand that the life of a
CD or 12" vinyl can expire after just one week. A label may choose to simply
have a one week limited run on a certain title, and we may only get one
shipment of the product. We make every attempt to stay on top of items that
we hear are about to be deleted and stock up on them. Because of the short
life span in the dance music world, you may be disappointed from time to time
to find titles are no longer available. Keep in mind, we have suppliers
around the world and make every effort to get items you won't find anywhere
else. But never assume something will be there 2 weeks from now ... if you
see it on the site, grab it! You don't want to be left empty handed.
Shipping costs
Because we cannot pre-calculate shipping costs prior to you selecting your
shipping method, we have listed the general shipping cost associated with
orders below.
Calculating domestic shipping costs
Because of the variety of items sold at Perfect Beat, your postage is
calculated based on:
- Type of merchandise ordered.
- Quantity or weight or merchandise ordered.
- Shipping method(s) chosen.
The following is our standard first class mail or Priority Mail rates for
orders. Please use this as a gauge, your actual shipping will be calculated
before you press the submit button on your order.

Keep in mind, if you purchase a 12" vinyl record, and a CD, your base postage
is $4.00, plus .99 for the vinyl item, and an additional .99 for the CD,
totaling $5.98 for your shipping.
Overnight shipping is available at the flat cost of $18.00 for up to 2
pounds. If your order is over 2 Pounds but less than 5 pounds, your cost
will be $25. If you order exceeds 5 pounds, and you wish it to be overnight,
we will contact you and advise you of the cost.
Calculating international shipping costs
Because international shipping is so expensive, we are currently charging a
flat $2 PER ITEM surcharge in addition to the above mention price structure.
As in the above example, if you are in international customer, and ordered a
12" vinyl record and a CD, your base postage is $4.00, plus .99 for the vinyl
item, an additional .99 for the CD plus $4.00 ($2 x 2 items) international
surcharge, so the total would be $9.98. (2-Day Service
Additional shipping costs
If you make an error on your shipping address, we may charge you the
additional postage to re-ship the order to the proper address. Please verify
your address before you submit your order.
Sales Tax
We are required by law to collect sales tax on all orders shipped within the
state of California. This amount will automatically be calculate on your
order.
Customs duties and taxes (non-U.S. destinations)
Your local government may impose import duties and/or VAT (Value Added Taxes)
on shipments from outside your country. These charges are separate from
Perfect Beat's charges and are beyond our control or ability to predict.
These charges (if any) are made payable to your government. You are
responsible for paying any taxes, duties and/or customs fees charged by your
government. Please check with your local post office for more information.
Customs sticker
We are also required by law to declare an accurate monetary value on all
non-U.S. shipments. We are unable to honor any requests to suppress the value
of an order on the customs sticker.
Late or lost orders
Because of postal delays beyond our control, we must wait 21 days before we
replace any lost order, and 45 days for international orders.
