(A little back story) ... Back in 1991, Vicki debuted "Somewhere" at The Saint in New York. It was an amazing show and the single shot to the #1 position on Billboard Dance as well as the UK Top of the Pops. In the following two and a half years she scored another 5 more #1 hits, included "All I Ask of you" remixed by a then unknown remixer named Chris Cox working for Hot Tracks. 6 #1 hits in 2.5 years was unheard of back them, and pretty close to impossible today. Sure, Vicki was a High NRG Diva and it's not everyone's taste. But it was a huge accomplishment back then and still is today. What many don't know is that "I Got A Feelin'", which was written as a tounge-n-cheek track (with Pepper's blessing) having fun with Vicki's circuit persona and the Circuit "Image" of 2001, debuted September 10th, 2001. Vicki & Pepper MaShay (who are friends) were headlining the StopAIDS Benefit at RUBY SKY in San Francisco. The following day was 9-11 and "I Got A Feelin'", which was going to be released on Logic Records, got shelved for almost a year until this Greatest Hits Album was released on Redzone. In the following year, fall out from 9-11 and the increased illegal downloading took a massive toll on small and medium record lables, and such, lables like Logic, Nervous, Groovilicious, and Redzone went out of business. "I Got A Feelin" never saw a proper "single" release until this year. With the re-launch of Redzone Records, Vicki is set to release two new single in 2008. I may be biased, but I always love a new Vicki project (M.C., 12/12/2007 see all my reviews >> )
Yes this release is worth every penny and I'm glad it's finally available, but I wish PB had a digital download for this since most will probably only play the Tony Moran vs Ralphi Rosario 2007 Mix. (E.M., 11/13/2007 see all my reviews >> )
just a note to the question above, since Ralphi's mix was never officially released for purchase or distribution, and this entire release is a "2007" release, that is why Ralphi's mix is labeled 2007 along with the newer mixes by Tony & Blaine & Barona. (M.C., 11/9/2007 see all my reviews >> )
I Got a Feeling... No F%#&^$ WAY, this is HOT! (P.I., 11/9/2007 see all my reviews >> )
This single is worth every penny, if only for the amazing Tony Moran vs. Ralphi Rosario 2007 Mix of "I Got A Feeling." Hot, hot, hot! Highly recommended. (W.A., 11/8/2007 see all my reviews >> )
i got a feelin....this will be # one on your slaes singles for a while! so glad to finally see this as a maxi. the orig is still my fave, but you really can't go wrong with Ralphi's or tony v ralphi's either!!!!! ralphi's mix has actually been around since at least 2005 because tony actually played it every time i heard him spin from 05 til he did his own mix. not sure why they entitled ralphi's mix 2007 (Joey Benitez, 11/8/2007 see all my reviews >> )
This track is amazing. Blaine & Barona did a great job. It never fails me when I spin it. (E.T., 11/8/2007 see all my reviews >> )
"I got a feeling" ...Tony Moran vs Ralphi Rosario KICKS BUTT! This has all the elements that a great dance song should have and if this does'nt make you wanna shake your bootie on the dance floor....nothing will! TA 08/11/07 (T.A., 11/8/2007 see all my reviews >> )
Ralphi Rosario is an outstanding genius in creating new remixes of electronic, dark and pumping house sounds...lightyears ahead of anyone else in this genre...that is all to say! (R.H., 11/8/2007 see all my reviews >> )
The "DJ Matt Consola" remix does nothing for me but I like some of the other mixes very much! (R.R., 3/7/2008 see all my reviews >> )
Well, of course these remixes are very hot, but the sad thing is, nowadays I don't find any NEW great/gay/energy dance song like this anymore... All I see is they just keep remix old dance hits every year. This makes me wonder what we're going to hear when we go to any energy dance/gay clubs in the future?... -- DJ X. The original mix still my fav', and I like Blaine & Barona mix. The others mix are just boring. This single is just OK. (Yecin, 11/8/2007 see all my reviews >> )
