Domestic Compilation (Unmixed) This title is no longer available on CD.

Perfect Beat got the exclusive hook up from Bill Bennett on his first full length Big Muscle Of The Rhythm. A 17 track album produced by Bill and featuring the vocals of Suzanne Palmer, Inaya Day, Abigail, Thea Austin, Sean Ensign, James Roy, and lots more. This is not a mixed CD, instead it's a full length release where the tracks are segued together almost telling a musical story. The last track on the journey is the outstanding cover version of 'Forever Young' by Abigail who has never sounded better. It was the perfect track to end the CD with as it really sums up the story. Bill also added to the end of the disc a few bonus remixes of the big hits like 'Fame' and 'Breakaway' which completes this package and makes it something you must check out. Good stuff!

I think this is one of the best compilation cd's out right now .still have it on my ipod (t.c., 3/5/2009 see all my reviews >> )

I am a huge Bill Bennett fan, and have been anticipating this album. One of my favorite singers has and always will be ABIGAIL! I have been missing her INCREDIBLE voice in the music scene since her last hit "Lay Down". Abigail sounds amazing on "Forever Young", and it is a clear standout on this album. Abigail and Bill have a sure fire club anthem on their hands! This is the pefect way to ring in the New Year with this song. Abigail's vocals are uplifting, inspiring, and make you want to get on the dancefloor and dance for hours on end! This album and especially this song will be on my ipod, cd player, and everywhere I am, not just in Guatemala, but where ever I am traveling! Bill, thank you for putting this album together, and especially for bringing Abigail back on such an amazing song! Abigail, thank you for being the incredible artist and humanitarian you are!  Love_it!!!! (l. lew, 1/5/2009 see all my reviews >> )

I enjoyed the cd as well, It was nice to see the hard work as well as the effort that was put into this cd. As part of the investor relations, it was nice to see that i had placed my money in the hands of a artist that could make magic happen and not just talk aboutit, i would recommend buying this cd , thanks John C in Marlyand (J.C., 12/16/2008 see all my reviews >> )

Rich, Dark, Tasty … Like a good piece of chocolate. Ghirardelli Chocolate!! Put it in your mouth, let it slowly melt … savor the perfect blend of flavors. DJ Bill Bennett has managed to blend songs, singers, beats and base lines into a heavenly treat. From the high energy vocals of Suzanne Palmer (Fame) to the forceful drive behind Inaya Day (Breakaway) all the way to Abigail’s (Forever Young) melancholy tone in the finale. Oh damn, my piece of chocolate is gone … it’s OK … have another piece … start the CD over. Delicious! (M.B., 12/13/2008 see all my reviews >> )

I have to laugh at people that review albums / singles on this website without listening to the entire mix and or albums. You cannot review songs or album from clips on a website. I can't help but wonder if the negative reviews are from competing DJs. Though, If whaling divas are your thing, this album is not for you. I had to chuckle at the comment about dance music belongs to females. Then I have to wonder if this comment is from someone in their 20's without much life experience, no offense. if you are a dance music lover you should broaden your horizons and see who was the trendsetters in the raely 80's. Dead or Alive, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Depeche Mode, Sylvester, Michael Bow, Rick Astley, Jason Donovan, Pat & Mick, Patrick Hernandez and list goes on. When I was in my 20's the only female vocals we heard were Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor and Ami Stewart. It really was not until Madonna hit the scene until we started hearing more of female vocal on dance tracks, then Thunderpuss then Whitney Houston and the female road was paved. Knowing Bill's niche is the leather / bear crowd I would of expected his debut album to be exactly what it is. Masculine. Dance music is universal, don't limit yourself to new sounds and ideas. Your missing out. This is an amazing album but I can see youngsters not " getting " it. Much of the dance music today is about build ups and some diva screamingl. Songs like REASON I can't see someone understanding who has not been through an abusive relationship, so this album may just be for the older guys. I love it. Thanks. For the youngsters , Britney's new CD is available too. (tony, 12/10/2008 see all my reviews >> )

I used to write music reviews in high school for our paper the Cardinal. It’s been a long time since I have even thought about putting into words how a CD makes me feel but thought the review section here at Perfect Beat would be a great way to let everyone know what I think of this wonderful CD. Big Muscle is not what I think of when I hear this CD, what I do think of is a rather tone, finely developed body of work which Bill and his buddies have definitely delivered on this CD. The teasers FAME and FOREVER YOUNG were just that. The real meat of the matter is in the rest of the CD. SACRIFICE touches the emotions, been there and done that and I think we all have. REASON another one that I really enjoyed, it brought up images in my head I had not thought about for a long time. It also paid tribute to our medical professions. I had to look at the sleeve a number of times. I did not realize DJ BILL BENNETT was a writer. I thought he was just a HUNK and a CLUBDJ, that I have only been able to see bits of on YOUTUBE. I have yet seen him perform live. This CD is AWESOME. TONIGHT I DREAM, oooooh, I have fond memories of those beats and the build up to CUM ….. Unfortunately those days are now played out in my car, driving around selling and listing property, thru the hills of Kentucky, which means this is a great road trip CD, I cannot wait till I visit the beach. This will be the CD I grab and I will make sure I have the right head phones too. There are some CD’s that you want to share with everyone right away. This is one of those. It also is a loner CD, one where you don’t want anyone to know about it, you want to keep it a secret for just you. Figure the odds of that happening.  DJ BILL, You done good , Getter Done is definitely in your vocabulary. BIG MUSCLE, I am not a muscle boy, I do like my Daddy’s that is for sure. This CD was made for the Daddy we all look at and wonder. What is on his mind and how long is it going to take for him to notice me. Scratch the surface and you have this CD bounding in his Heart. BILL, this is your HEART to us. I am glad it came out and glad to finally hear what all the fuss was about. After reading this there might be a reason I haven’t wrote Music review since High School but thought this CD deserved a comment from the Kentucky Realtor. There are not enough stars to rate this CD.  I have to admit that I was expecting yet another circuit album that sounds like 100 others you've heard. Nothing could be farther from the truth. With this album, Bennett has taken the tired circuit sound and kicked it to the curb. The difference is evident right from the start with the rap intro and the fabulous track "Fame". This version of "Fame" along with the remakes of "Breakaway" and "Forever Young" are the first versions of these songs that I consider as good as or better than the originals. "Big Muscle" is a great fusion of circuit and electro. My favorite track is probably "Reason" with its unexpected gorgeous mid-tempo groove. "Cum", well, it makes me wanna... I've only had a couple of listens so far but this is already my favorite cd since Paul van Dyk's "Reflections" from five years ago. Brilliant! (D.J., 12/8/2008 see all my reviews >> )

Bill Bennett has created the first dance album that can and needs to be listened to throughout. This album tells a story that you never feel from your typical dance album. One can tell that he has obviously been through a lifetime of pain from which this album provides therapy. The tracks go in order where you feel like you’re in a story going from darker material such as REASON ending in the track FOREVER YOUNG which seems as if he is ready to begin a new chapter in his life. This album is full of moving music and here are some of my favorites. The album starts with the surprising rap on track 1 leading into his current hit Fame. Originally I thought this was going to be another typical 80’s remake however the vocals from Suzanne Palmer make this track jump. The production value of this track is phenomenal and the added remixes at the end of the album make for a good change from the album track. BIG MUSCLE is where Bennett’s notoriety as an anthem DJ takes center stage. “Licking My Lips, Shaking My Hips, Moving My Body Eh, My Body Eh” is as catchy a chorus as anything you would hear from top 40 artists like Britney or Beyonce. The album then takes a darker turn going into the dance ballad REASON. This is my favorite track on this album. No comment I could write could sum up this track or the emotion you will feel listening to it. Finally there is FOREVER YOUNG which provides the best remake of this song since the original. I have been a fan of dance music since the mid 90’s and have bought dozens of albums from dance artists and DJ’s who have released successful singles only to bury them in an album full of poor production and overall disappointing music. This album transcends the dance category and is the best CD that I have purchased in 2008. Thank you Bill for creating this album and I wish you the mainstream success you deserve. (J.R., 12/7/2008 see all my reviews >> )

Bravo Bill, Bravo. You have taken a road away from the monatous land of dying circuit music. Every track has it's own sound and vibe and you tell a story while taking us on a journey. Which is what music is supposed to do. This album is so far beyond than what other gay djs have done, you can't even compare them in the same catagory. The quality of this record can stand up to any major artist / label. Only complaint is I wish his handsome mug was on the cover. But I'll take his torso any day. Thank you for producing such an amazing album , when music over the past years has been stale. (tony, 12/6/2008 see all my reviews >> )

I guess I get to leave the first review. Well, sit down... Well, I have to admit that I am pleasantly surprised. I really thought the previous singles FAME and BREAKAWAY would be the backbone of this album, and the rest would be well.... junk. What I did find is that FAME and BREAKAWAY are just two of the amazing tracks you will find on this record. I now see why this album took 3 years to to produce, because it is just that; an album. It is not a continuous beat with cookie cutter vocals. I also now understand why Bennett was put through the shredder from other DJs ( no names mentioned ). They are scared, and they should be. Bennett has raised the bar. Many of you are not going to want to hear this but I feel this is the best dance album ever released by a gay DJ. The quality of the songs is impeccable , it is masculine, edgy and takes you on a journey. Something which has been lost in our current trend of mixed CDs. Bill has incorporated the music genres of rock, electronica, trance, circuit, latin and yes even rap on this album. And it works. REMEMBER / FAME The album kicks off with quite a surprise. A female rapper named SNO tells us that, well... basically, Bill is the shit, and if you don't believe it, "tune in. Because the boy is hot and he's had Detroit on lock". And now he is going to take on the world. At first I laughed and thought it was cute. But after hearing the album in its entirety I couldn't agree more. Bennett has slapped me in the face and has told me he is here, and your gonna fucking listen. He has made me dizzy and wanting more. SEXUAL HIGH and BIG MUSCLE both are huge anthems in the making. The structure of these tracks are perfect and are anything but boring. BIG MUSCLE written by Bennett/Luke not only proves Bennett's talents as a DJ but a writer. REASON gave me goose bumps. Here Bennett slows the beats down in a dominating manner. He does not ask us to listen to his message, he tells us. And it is absolutely mind boggling. REASON which speaks of abusive relationships has an ending that will chill even you cold hearted bitches to the bone. TONIGHT I DREAM / CUM are two of my favorite tracks. Here Bennett mixes these two together similar to Madonna's OH FATHER and DEAR JESSIE. TONIGHT is electronica candy at it's best, reminds me a lot of Daft Punk and old Ministry of Sound. Then the intro to CUM teases you much like foreplay, then taking off as it is stroking your ears into a trance triggered orgasm. If this track does not get your groin warm without touching yourself, your dead. With daring lyrics such as " Cum, I want to, Cum I need to, Cum I want to , and I'll Cum too" it will set you over the edge. Brilliant is an understatement. TOUCH ME, FEEL ME is probably my least favorite track. It is obvious a radio friendly song was needed, and this is it. OMINE DOKE' / BREAKAWAY sounds better then I remember. Bennett's guitar skills have improved since 2005 and he shows them off in the interlude before BREAKAWAY. FLY AWAY Just when you think this album is about to slow down Bennett accomplishes quite a challenge. He has made Sean Ensign sound like a true vocalist. Sean who is known for his poor vocal range sounds better than ever on this track, Which really goes to show when a song is produced right , what can happen. SACRIFICE again Bennett slows the pace down to tell us he is done Sacrificing for any guy and that we should too. No one is worth going down for, SNO revisits us again and raps a melody which is like the sweet frosting on a delicious cake. FOREVER YOUNG just when you think desert has been served, here comes seconds disguised as one of my favorite singers ABIGAIL. Like Sean, Abigail has never sounded this good. It immediately reminded me of Madonnas vocal range on the Ray Of Light album after her Evita training. Abigail's break from dance music was well worth the wait. Her vocals on this track will wrap around you like a warm blanket on a winters night. This is the track that will explode this summer and put Abigail back on the top if remixed right. It is also obvious that Bill carefully hand picked every artist on this album and matched them to the song they perform. Inaya, Suzanne , Abigail, Thea would sound ridiculous singing any other song on this album. They fit there tracks like a tight glove. And, when you think its over. The 10 page color spread enclosed in the CD will send you straight to the bathroom with a bottle of lube. This album is absolutely fucking brilliant. 10 STARS (tony, 12/4/2008 see all my reviews >> )

A great c.d. I want t o get up in the livingroom and dance the night away, with martini in hand, Oh yeah a partner in hand too! (Dale K., 2/21/2009 see all my reviews >> )

I enjoyed this CD more than I thought I would have. The production really is quite good. My only gripe (and I don't think this is Perfect Beat's fault)... is with the presentation of this CD. Firstly, I am grateful that this ended up getting pressed on a CD at all and not just some crappy digital only release. However, this full compilation deserved a normal CD case with a printed back inlay and not a CD Single slim case with just the front booklet. Also Bill, not too long before this came out, talked up this release to include a bonus DVD disc with the director's cut of 'Fame' and interview(s). What happened to that? I know things can change with budgets, rights, etc.. and perhaps this wasn't possible, but don't mention things like this unless you are sure they are going ahead. So yeah, enjoy the disc, disappointed with the presentation/package though. Oh, and the cover/booklet artwork does not raise any bars... in any sense of the word. (F.S., 12/11/2008 see all my reviews >> )

Sorry, I don't like the male voice and I think there are too much on this compliation. Dance music singing by a man it's awful IMO (but there are some rare exceptions...) (Yecin, 12/6/2008 see all my reviews >> )

First of all (to all that are giving praises to Fame), Fame was destroyed when Bill Bennet released it. Only 2 Remixes (Jose Spinnin & Edson Pride) that did justice to the track, the others were just straight up crap. (Sorry Bill and to the producers) As far as this CD, I think what it's throwing people off is the fact that they're expecting a Dance CD (which actually gives you the impression) but it's not. It's more on the Pop/Rock/sort of Electroish/Dance route. Sorry didn't do it for me. The track selections were bad. I had to stop listening right around "Omine' Doke (Interlude)" Bottom line, if you're expecting a Dance CD, this is NOT the CD you wanna buy. Sorry, didn't do it for me - I'm not bitter, I'm just saying it how it is. (J.G., 4/8/2009 see all my reviews >> )

hmm, I am sorry guys, but i did not find this CD good at all; in fact, I think is boring. I got it for free and I don't think that I am going to load it on my computer (J.B., 4/6/2009 see all my reviews >> )

yawn.... just doesn't do it for me (O.A., 2/4/2009 see all my reviews >> )
