This is the Amber we all fell in love with so many years ago. Simple, lush lyrics that sear themselves into your brain on the first listen, uplifting melodies interpreted by top producers and an overall energy that makes the dancefloor feel like home. It's not that we didn't love the darker, alternative sound she had been exploring of late, we just fell so far in love with this aspect of her that we now rely on her as a source of positive energy. Superstar remixology is provided by Tracy Young, Hex Hector and Al B. Rich, and while the original Sweet Rains mix is less suited for the clubs than the aforementioned producers' rubs, it by far is the version that encapsulates Amber's vocal warmth best and makes for perfect private listening. Additional mixes included are the Pathos V2 Radio Edit, which sounds like a harder version of Sweet Rains' original; AM Corona Club Mix, a gorgeous, bright synth mix perfectly suited for early morning hours and dawning sunlight; and the Lance Jordan Dub Mix, a simply constructed atmospheric piece. Amber, from all the boys around the world who've loved you from the beginning, "we like it, we love it, we want some more of it."

Average review:  4.0/5.0 (24 reviews)

It took me a couple of listens to het into this track, but it won me over and the more I listen to it, the more I like it. The Hex Hector mix is the stand out mix for me. It's so nice to see his name and prodigeous talent on a remix cd again. Recommended (A.W., 12/27/2007 see all my reviews >> )

WOW!!! This song it soooo damn good, I love ever mix in it... Amber sure knows what to give her fans... a true CD single... Im loving the Hex Hector, Pathos, AM Corona, & Lance Jordan mix... I'm so glad Amber has come back to her roots. This is our real Amber. By the way, there are some remixes that did not make it to the single. The mixes are: Tracy Young Dub 9:43 Pathos V2 Club Mix 7:16 Al B Rich Club Mix 7:34 AM Corona Radio mix 3:43 (J.R., 1/4/2007 see all my reviews >> )

This is not a stormer anthem, but more of an intelligent slow-burner like "Yes". All the remixes have a beautiful respect for the source material, which is nothing short of a miracle these days. AM Corona turns in my favorite mix, though Hex will likely get more club play. (DJ Sean Mac, 12/12/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Great Single. By far the biggest comeback of the year!!! (J.R., 11/23/2006 see all my reviews >> )

I can't say enough good things about this song! I rarely write a review here on Perfect Beat - BUT - I have to say my sentiments on Perfect Beat are ALWAYS in line with DJ Mark Bison and DJ Mark Marqui. In closing - this is a great song sung by a great singer and it harkens back to the 90's when music was more than just a hard driving beat. This song takes you on a journey and that is how I LIKE my dance music, filled with story and melody!. YAHOO AMBER - THANKS FOR GIVING US 'MELT WITH THE SUN'! Dj Mark Brack (M.B., 11/20/2006 see all my reviews >> )

What a Fabulous song. Its Amber's best song since Need to be naked! I LOVE it! For me the best thing about the song is the vocals and lyrics. Amber really showed the world what she can do with this song. (Ricky Morgan, 11/16/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Amber has always been a star to me... even when her albums took detours into unfamiliar territory with mixed results. "Melt" may not be an anthem like "Sexual" (but will anything ever top "Sexual?"). It's feel good music. It's what she does best. Glad to see she helped coax Hex out of semi-retirement, but I have to hand it to Tracy Young. She's usually hit or miss but she nailed it! --djmark marquis (M.M., 11/16/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Amber delivers another hit! I like Hex's mix but the Pathos V2 is my fave of the bunch. (J.N., 11/15/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Simply outstanding! This will be #1 on the billboard club charts. (D.W., 11/15/2006 see all my reviews >> )

MWTS is quite a tasty follow-up to her last single "Just Like That." Considering that this is a song that isn't easy to remix due to its complex cord changes, most of the remixers here rise to the occasion. Some of the mixers, like Hex Hector and Al B. Rich, haven't worked on an Amber track in a few years. My favorites would have to be Pathos V2 (only a radio edit here) and AM Corona (full club mix here but no radio edit). If you're an Amber fan you'll defintely be happy with this. (C.K., 11/13/2006 see all my reviews >> )

I would have to agree with the other reviews, this is the most "mainstream friendly" track Amber has released in several years and should prove to be very popular. My favs are Hex Hector and Tracy Young, although Al B Rich's Remix is very good, too bad they only included an edit. DJ Mark Bisson (M.B., 11/10/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Wow! This single is absolutely fantastic! With the incredible vocals of Amber and the amazing talents of some of the world's best remixers, this Perfect Beat exclusive is going to sell like hotcakes, and it deserves to do very well. It seems like a very long time since an Amber song graced our dance floors, but, now, Amber is back and better than ever. I honestly cannot decide which remix I like best, although I am especially fond of the Hex Hector Club Mix and Tracy Young's Anthem Mix. Overall, this is an outstanding release, and quite a coup for Perfect Beat. Highly, highly recommended. Buy it now or you'll wish that you had later! (W.A., 11/9/2006 see all my reviews >> )

YES, a new song by Amber. I do believe this will be her biggest hit...cannot wait for a full album to follow with many more remixes!!! I love the Hex Hector Club Mix, it's a little different from his normal style, this is sure to be #1 on Billboard's club charts and I'm also very crazy about the Patheos V2 Club Mix cannot wait until that is released as a full mix instead of just an edit, I love the dark techno sound. Keep up the good work Amber!!! -Joseph (J.S., 11/9/2006 see all my reviews >> )

This CD is excellent. I think it is the best dance single put out this year. I love the Pathos Mix, Hex Hector, and AM Corona Mix. Amber really went all out with this single. There is not one bad mix on this CD. (T.N., 11/9/2006 see all my reviews >> )

This is it. Just like that was warming us back to the Amber we know and love. But Melt with the Sun is IT! How does she comes up with these poetic anthems?!!! This single is the return back to her roots, where WE want her. I have this single and every track has something different to offer. My favorite is the Tracy Young Mix!!! Get it boys before its to late and not to many places are selling this thirst quenching single ;-) (J.R., 11/9/2006 see all my reviews >> )

It is nice to see Amber back with a great club tune. True this song is no "Sexual" but will she ever top that song anyway? I do like this song but there are way too many remixes on this CD. Overall a great tune! (M.C., 11/22/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Finally, she releases something worth playing. I had pretty much given up on Amber after her venture into a more rock sound on her last album. This is up there with One More Night and Above the Clouds as one of her strongest singles ever. (G.K., 11/10/2006 see all my reviews >> )

This is the Amber we all love and remember. Imagine a marriage between "Sexual" and "Above The Clouds" and you'll get "Melt With The Sun". The Hex Hector mix is excellent but I prefer the Al B. Rich mix - sadly there's no extended version of Rich's mix included (hence the 4 stars instead of 5.) Maybe it will appear on a future album or single. I like the AM Corona mix quite a bit as well. Tracy Young mixes usually don't do much for me and that's true here as well, but fans of hers will probably like the mix fine. An absolute must-purchase this week. (G.C., 11/9/2006 see all my reviews >> )

YES! Finally she's decided to go back to her root-making simple, pure, sexy, beautiful dance music. Love it! Love this kind of light dance music-very 90's, very happy, and can play it anytime or any place. You go girl! -- DJ X. (P.H., 11/9/2006 see all my reviews >> )

This song is so so. I enjoyed it much better then her last release JLT. My love affair with Amber has been dwindling for some time now. More and more her true feelings about dance music comes through on her forum. She attacks the genre that has essentially made her. She is an artist that simply should have established herself in a market that she perfers instead of one that she denounces but continues to come to to further her career. I enjoyed her MKOW album and supported her by buying the singles and cd cuz she has given so much to the dance genre. However when it did not suceed she came right back to the club/dance scene where she is established and liked by many. This is simply a case where you dont bite from the hand that feeds you. She should take note from Kristine W. She has had less success then Amber but has never been ungracious and is always so warm and inviting. Never has said an un-kind word about anything to do with her career that she may frown upon on the inside. Take note Amber there truly can be Colour Of Love if you just appreciate. (K.M., 12/29/2006 see all my reviews >> )

I perfectly agree with de last review, there are neither melody ! but it's the melody who is the grass roots of Dance Music. This song is just bad, interesting and quaint. (Yecin, 5/11/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Really dissapointing. Neither anthemic, nor memorable. No hook, and after listening to all the remixes, im still struggling to remember any melody. Really gutted, after reading some of the gushing reviews I was expecting something melodic at least. Come on Amber, give us something along the lines of Above The Clouds or Anyway again - we dont need mediocre, tuneless, forgettable tosh like this! (N.S., 2/20/2007 see all my reviews >> )

This song is so boring. (D.G., 11/19/2006 see all my reviews >> )

I love Amber, but what in the hell is so special about this song, unless you are in a drug endused coma. Amber at her mediocre best. (Randy M., 11/15/2006 see all my reviews >> )
