I know an earlier reviewer commented that this cd did not play well with his computer, but it worked fine with mine. I just popped it in, and I could do whatever I wanted with whatever program I wanted. (Z.L., 7/25/2005 see all my reviews >> )
I have been waiting for years for this. I LOVE this song and always thought it would make for a fun remake. Though I agree that this could be the start of another remake trend, there is something to be said for familiarity. Audiences in less-urban areas don't really respond to harder Club music that they don't know. While this is fluffy, its also lots of fun and recognizable. I really like all the mixes as they all retain the essence of the orignal song while taking it in slightly differing directions. The first time I played this I had so many people come and say how much they loved the original and how cool it was to revisit it. (G.K., 3/26/2005 see all my reviews >> )
Using the same formula as Eric Prydz and co. The Boy Meets Girl from the 80's gets cut up to great effect. Likely to be big particularly in the UK. (S.A., 3/2/2005 see all my reviews >> )
If you liked this one, also check out In My Arms by Mylo, they both feature samples from the same song. Both tracks "In My Arms" and "Star To Fall" are excellent electro pieces that should not be missed. I will admitt, I liked this track a little bit more than Mylo's. I think it's because Mylo's track and all of the mixes play at beat counts ranging from 120 to 128 bpm. (V.S., 2/26/2006 see all my reviews >> )
Really fun up disco house tune. And this single has more mixes than the almost identical one by Sunset Strippers so I'd go with this one. DJ Mark Bisson (M.B., 3/11/2005 see all my reviews >> )
Good mixes. Either all 4 of my computer CD-ROM drives have flaked out at the same time, or this CD has tons of copy protection on it. Plays in my CD player just fine, but my computer cannot play any of the tracks. (T.K., 3/5/2005 see all my reviews >> )
This track has the potential to be one of the biggest anthems of the year, especially in Europe and Australia. (W.A., 3/2/2005 see all my reviews >> )
I usually hate covers, and this is no exception. Don't get me wrong, this is a pretty song and I loved the original. I am just so over all these mash up filter disco tracks where they sample an old pop song from the 80s or 90s... It's getting tired, and frankly I'm ready for some fresh new ideas. The music industry has really lacked creativity in the past few years, and someone really needs to step up to the plate and do something about it! (R.K., 3/19/2005 see all my reviews >> )
