Average review: 4.0/5.0 (4 reviews) Andy and Stuart have reached a simple yet successful pop formula: the Narcotic Thrust sound, which we came to first listen through "Safe from Harm". They remixed and produced original songs over the past 4 years using it, and all I can say is I can never grow tired of their sound.
As for the tracks length, I'd like to throw some light over the matter. In order to qualify for inclusion in the UK singles chart, a single must meet some criteria. One of them clearly says that the maximum running time for any format is 20 minutes if more than one different song is featured, or 40 minutes if only one song is featured in multiple versions/mixes.
That's why we have to cope with these CD edited god-awful versions. (F.C., 2/10/2005 see all my reviews >> )
I like it! But too short. I believe there's longer mixes coming out on second release. Buy this one but keep your ears out for the next one. (R.F., 2/11/2005 see all my reviews >> )
Andy Morris and Stuart Crichton, also known as Narcotic Thrust, follow their Top 10 hit "I Like It" with "When The Dawn Breaks". This track is already being touted in Europe as one of the biggest dance floor anthems of 2005. This is a really great record, but I can't help wondering why it includes special CD (edited???) mixes. Two stars for the disappointment at the track lengths. Four stars for the track. Very good song which could be REALLY big if someone would provide a club length for us. HINT HINT. dj mark marquis. (M.M., 1/13/2005 see all my reviews >> )
