Oh J.Ho, thank you so much for providing such a readily available opportunity to turn nebulous frustration and rogue anger into pointed criticism and sour animosity, otherwise I might be taking it out on slow-crossing pedestrians and helpless shop girls. There's pretty much nothing redeeming about this single. Ballad singles need to be pretty amazing, or by Mariah Carey, to get any recognition, and Baby I Luv You is neither. The verses are essentially spoken and layered with supporting vocals, and the chorus is 90% someone else singing with only a whisper of Lopez. R. Kelly does his best to help out by removing the acoustic feel of the album version and lending his own mediocre flowing, but the result falls flat on its face almost as much as the original, it manages to catch itself a little, but it still eats sidewalk in front of pretty people. The sleepy video is included which has Jennifer rolling around on a bed and frolicking in her PJ's. Swell.
