Average review: 4.5/5.0 (32 reviews) One of my yearly "to do" list, is to catch Donna Summer whenever she is in concert. Her vocal power and range is unmatched. As someone once said, her vocals is like fine wine that only gets better as it ages. I like this song as it will add even more to her already packed selections to perform live. I would also piggy back on the review below of having Hex Hector put his spin on -any- Donna Summer
song. Her voice and his spin is nothing less than awesome.
He could be the great combination that Donna had with
Georgio M. I only wish he did an extended mix of "I Will Go With You"...... jrmt (j.t., 4/11/2007 see all my reviews >> )
Most of the low scores for this release were completely without merrit. This is music, not America's Next Top Model, I don't care is the girl looks like Ms. Jay on the cover! The content is all that matters. I fall on the love end of this one. I will admitt, a diva isn't a diva unless she's screaming, but Donna is screaming in a whole new way. In her simple honest delivery of the lyrics, it's almost as if she is screaming for the love to keep her whole. I feel Eddie Baez did the best job of capturing the emotion in this release and not going over the top. "I Got Your Love" is a song that means something beyond it's words, like "Love Story" (Layo & Bushwacka!), "Crazy" (Seal and later Alanis Morisette), "Walk Into the Sun" (Dirty Vegas), or "My Vision" (Jakatta & Seal [again]). The whole of these songs mean more than the parts alone. When you listen to a song and you rave over it being the living end, you know it's not just one thing that makes the song so special, it's how it all just fits. Well, Eddie brought it all into focus and gave his "love" to Donna. I'm not saying the other remixes are bad, (LEX has get to be called out one way or another by anyone who wrote a review before me) I am just saying I feel the emotion envelope me when I mix into/out of Eddie's remix of "I Got Your Love". Maybe it's just where I place it in my set, or maybe it's going to be his mix that lives on for years to come. (V.S., 1/12/2006 see all my reviews >> )
I like it. This song is different. Ms. Summer doesn't let out her great voice as she did in the past; but the sweet (very up-to-date) tunes and the smooth vocal rhythm are very contagious. (J.G., 1/6/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Wow! Great song by Donna. It's nice to see a classic dance artist return with such a good song. Both the Eddie Baez and Rosario mixes are outstanding and should do well. I'm looking forward to the her upcoming album. I would also like to see the mixes of Power of Love become more easily available. Cheers to Donna. (G.K., 12/25/2005 see all my reviews >> )
The Baez mix is my great! The vocals and music fit together perfectly! Rosario mix is also good but sounds kind of like everything else...no real edge. Great track Donna.. and welcome back to the dance scene! (R.K., 12/23/2005 see all my reviews >> )
Wow! What a treat from the diva of dance! Just coming off a highly successful US Tour, this song raced up the Billboard Dance Club Play Charts. The production is sleek, the vocals are funky, and the chorus is just crazy memorable! I wish pop radio would get off it's high horse and start playing some great songs like this one. Donna, Donna, this just makes us want to scream WHERE's THE NEW FULL LENGTH ALBUM??!! YOU're such a tease!

A nice song, all the mixes are very US-oriented. The original version has a very electropop sound a bit like Kylie's Can't Get You Out of My Head, but is slow by current standards. The most club-ready is the excellent Ralphi mix, but that lacks a bit of uplift on the chorus. Tony Moran and David Morales would also probably have done a good job on this. Other mixes would have to be done for other territories. I'd like to hear interpretations by remixers such as Freemasons, Bimbo Jones, Angel City, Solasso, Almighty. Welcome back Donna! Donna Summer has the best pipes in the business! Ralph's mix really kicks - the others leave a little to be desired. I would have liked to see some other mixes. "I Got Your Love" is hot, sexy and should be packing the dance floors. It really brings Donna into 2006! (C.K., 12/19/2005 see all my reviews >> )
I think this song was written 4 me.
Al these years of trying 2 get through.
I have sat 7 rows back center and I can tell u when
Donna sings a ballad the house goes quiet.
2 listen 2 every note.
Donna has the best voice in the business.

Donna Summer, wow, she's just great!... Love this song, the lyric is so beautiful. The remixes are good & my fav is Eddie Baez Vocal Anthem -- DJ X. (P.H., 12/17/2005 see all my reviews >> )
I don't believe it! Finally on cd.Totally awesome.Exactly what you'd expect from the great diva.Gonna be massive. (S.A., 12/15/2005 see all my reviews >> )
This is a really great song from one of the greatest dance divas of all time. This track is white hot and deserves to go straight to the top of the dance charts. Although all mixes on this CD single are good, for me, it's all about the fantastic Ralphi Rosario Extended Mix! (W.A., 12/15/2005 see all my reviews >> )
All about the Baez. Hot track. (E.B., 12/15/2005 see all my reviews >> )
I LOVE this song, but where's the L.E.X. DUB??? It samples Donna's own "I Feel Love"... For those into this song, it's a must-have! Look for it... (R.Z., 12/15/2005 see all my reviews >> )
Even though I'm a bit biased (Donna is my favorite diva of all time), this is a great track with a very strong vocal and beautiful lyrics. I like Ralphi's Mix the best, but the other mixes are quite good as well. Highly Recommended. DJ Mark Bisson (M.B., 12/15/2005 see all my reviews >> )
This is a great song and an even better Maxi CD Single!!!!
GET IT!!!!!!!!!! (J.R., 12/15/2005 see all my reviews >> )
This song keeps popping up in my head. Like the Rosario and Eddie Baez mixes best. DJ Glenn (g.c., 12/15/2005 see all my reviews >> )

This one had to grow on me, but it really did grow on me! Ralphi's mix is my fave...it's mellower than I expected but love the "all I ever think about is you" part-SO DRAMATIC! His dub is more anthemic in that sense. Wish there were radio edits of all the mixes. I could do without Donna talking in the song though! (Joey Benitez, 3/11/2009 see all my reviews >> )
A nice song with some good remixes. Hopefully her next release will have some SERIOUS HOLLERING like she did with "Love Is A Healer". grrl, with your hair down like that, you better SANG! (p.w., 3/2/2006 see all my reviews >> )
Great to hear Donna back on the charts....Remixes are fun and this song is perfect for those runway models in a fashion show! I am looking forward to a release of a full album from Donna....This song was hot on XM 81 BPM and was in the top 10 for 15 weeks........A real talented diva is putting her toes back in the ring.....now we all look forward to her jumping in......move over Mariah.......donna is back in town! (P.G., 1/6/2006 see all my reviews >> )
Once again, Ralphi completely turns it out. It's all about Ralphi and Tony this past year. This is HOT!!! (B.S., 12/15/2005 see all my reviews >> )
This will be as big as I WILL GO WITH YOU (CON TE PARTIRO)
Ralphi once again shows us all the energy he can deliver!
His mix get's our vote in Phoenix. This is Donna in the right surroundings and it's obvious that she's enjoying every moment of this great song. Put it in your Top 10...

I have seen Donna Summer perform 4 times with the first being in 1979. Yes, I am old and prefer songs that don't stop 20 times in 5 minutes. Having said that, I like most of Donna's work. This song has great lyrics that she adds her magic to. However, I don't see any mix standing out. The original album mix is the best. I don't mind a different tone from Donna but this is one wasted potential of a song. Maybe some more mixes will be coming from somebody...Almighty? (R.W., 3/18/2006 see all my reviews >> )
I love Donna, but this is an insult! I cant beleive this is from the same artist who performed "I will go with you"? the vocals are uninspired at best, and the production is formulaic! Dont buy this unless you truly are a die-hard fan because you will be disappointed! (g.s., 1/3/2006 see all my reviews >> )
So where is Hex when we need him? This track is slow and lacks any energy whatsoever. Help us out here and issue a part 2 domestic single ala I Will Go With You...Featuring The HQ2 mix, Offer Nissim remix, and a Friburn/Urik stormer. Yea, that should work. (A.P., 1/1/2006 see all my reviews >> )
She looks like a man on the front cover, and the remixes are too slow and boring. I don“t understand how Donna can release such a bad song like this. I hope the new album will be much better then this joke as a song. (P.S., 12/28/2005 see all my reviews >> )
Donna Summer is one of my favourite female singers but this new song is horrible. Her voice is not the same and the remixes are slow and boring. The picture looks terrible and I hope a better song will be out soon and not this crap. (P.S., 12/18/2005 see all my reviews >> )
