Back in the heyday of Hex Hector and Thunderpuss, I always rolled my eyes whenever I saw a David Morales remix on anything, and sat wondering who on earth would pay this man to produce yet another plunky piano house mix that everyone knows would never be played in any club worth going to. Appropriately, it seems that David slunk away with his tail between his legs sometime after Lara Fabian's "I Will Love Again" and hadn't really been heard from until this release. I don't know if I've developed an appreciation for classic garage house, or if the time apart has made me think this sounds better than it really does (like that ex you hadn't seen in a while and only looks good because you're single... and those four Tokyo iced teas...). But regardless, this one grabbed me from the first listen and has only grown on me. David's sound is essentially the same as it always was except for the addition of some minor tribal-esque cross-rhythms, but something about it holds my attention more than usual. The vocalist and lyrics are what really make the song - her earnest delivery is memorable and the lyrics are a step above the average love song. All mixes are by Morales himself, but they hold true to one of the qualities I've always respected about him most: the ability to do several mixes and have them all sound different.

THIS IS HOUSE MUSIC IN IT'S FINEST MOMENTS. If you don't have a copy of this song in your collection, and you like house, it sucks to be you. David produced one of the best tracks in the last 5 years, and if you don't believe it note the fact this is one of very few singles on the site to have 5 star reviews across the board! You can get a 5+ minute edit of the track in an unmixed form on the Album in CD or vinyl format. The one true point of intrest for me was the fact that the Peter Rauhofer remixes (which were not on this version of the single) proved that Rauhofer really has issues when dealing with truly emotional music, a fact that really became crystal clear when he started working on Offer Nissim tracks. If you liked this song, also try "Love Story" by Layo & Bushwacka!, "Stealth" by Way Out West, "Into the Sun" or "21st Century" both from the Weekend Players, or Offer Nissim's Album "First Time".  (from my USDanceRadio review) This has become my favorite track of the year overnight. The CD has 5 mixes Stereo Anthem (10+ min) Stereo Dub, Stereo Dub Intrumental, Extended and Radio Mixes. It is perfectly laid out, and definitely an anthem.. Production on the track is incredible, and it flows from buildup, to break, to verse to chorus to hook and back. the smooth, silky house beat David drops at the beginning are signature DM house sounds. Eric Kupper does keys on this baby, and let me just say it is what compels the house beat to thrust into the 2004 style of house. once the keys and beats are married, and flowing Lea chimes in with her vocal, and voila' you have a masterpiece. Eric Kupper's keys, David Morales' percussion and Lea Lorien sensuos voice make an amazing marriage to what is truly a perfect journey through a dancefloor. With the ample selection of mixes, for any time of day at a club OR radio, this is a must have in any record collection, don't deprive your crowds by not spinning this record! This is another one in a long list of successes by David Morales. Though this has been a year for great dance music so far, David Morales' newest gem is the best dance song of 2004. Thank you Mr. Morales. - DJ Dom Armano My mix of choice :: Extended Mix (Stereo Dub Afterhours) (D.A., 11/23/2004 see all my reviews >> )

FYI :: The Ultra Release also includes a mix by Peter Rauhofer.. -- DJ Dom Armano (D.A., 11/23/2004 see all my reviews >> )

I usually like my dance music a little harder than this, but you have to stand up and take attention to something as quality as this. This is the type of track, if I heard at the club (which I never have) I would be asking the DJ who it was. It's stunning. Get out and get this single by any means necessary!  This song is an instant classic! Perfect in every way! (W.A., 10/7/2004 see all my reviews >> )

The anthem and the extended mix are great house vocals, although I really like the dub mix for later night. A very energetic track with beautiful vocal from Lea-Lorien. Highly recommended! (M.B., 9/29/2004 see all my reviews >> )

Oh my goodness! At first I though I was listening to a Hex Hector version, and the track listing was wrong...but as I started going into the deepest parts of the song...David came along...Great remix...But there's one thing I wonder... Where the...is the Grammy Winner Mr. Hex Hector???Maybe he doesnt need us anymore...Too bad...He could be doing so many great remixes...He must be carefull,David Morales is getting too close...Nuff words...Dj Karl(Japan) (C.H., 9/27/2004 see all my reviews >> )

Stunning, truly beautiful. Absolute class that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Faultless vocals, heart-tugging melody lines, great drums and bassline. Deserves to go sky-high. (D.B., 9/21/2004 see all my reviews >> )

Well well well, look who's suddenly "popular". David, as usual, I love it. You make dance music classy again. And Ms. Lorien, you're fabulous. (G.M., 9/20/2004 see all my reviews >> )

It is nice to see David Morales back again. I think he does a great job with this song. I love the vocals of Lea Lorein. I hope he does more work with her in his upcoming cd. Lea Lorein does sound a lot like Jody Watley which adds to the quality and greatness of this which is destined to be one of David's classic remixes! Can't wait for upcoming "2 Worlds Collide". (G.B., 9/6/2004 see all my reviews >> )

It's nice to see Morales step out from behind his usual cookie- cutter mode( see any of his mixes for Mariah0 and deliver a real gem of a house track. This is one of the best releases of the year. A Great melody, and fantastic vocals by Lea make this a truly fantastic release. (G.K., 8/27/2004 see all my reviews >> )

Thanks, David! It was worth waiting 5 months for this. Definitely the HIGHLIGHT of the Crobar party at WMC this year....but I initially thought the vocal was Jody Watley. I'm sure that someone will come in here and write a negative review on this because it doesn't sound like circuit fodder, but you can best believe that the dance-floor is never empty when I play this ditty. (B.M., 8/26/2004 see all my reviews >> )

From Dancing at David's Monthly Def Mix Party at Stereo in Montreal to hearing him drop this at the Miami WMC I have heard this song TONS of times and can only say....David? Can You Play this again PLEASE!!!!! Thanks for another great Groove! (G.N., 8/26/2004 see all my reviews >> )
