Whoop whoop, Roland does like it hard (sorry Ro', I know it sounds wrong, but it's just what came to mind at the disc's conclusion). Even the mellow tracks are presented in their hardest mixes. This is truly a circuit queen's dream come true. A nice combination of both recent releases and rising stars, Roland has selected a tracklisting that makes you want to run up and hug him at the beginning of each song, and even includes two tracks remixed by Belmares himself - Pat Hodges' "The Message" and Abigail's "Songbird". In addition, the still unreleased Friscia & Lamboy Club Mix of Taborah's new spolight track "I Am (The Rising) rears its head, Red Carpet pounds you into submission with gentle sentiments and heavy Doublefunk beats, and Sun's follow-up to "One", "Without Love" appears as the Tony Moran & Dan Broeder Mix. Winter's never been this hot.

This is truly a wonderful CD, and as mentioned previously, it isn't a dark hour of pots & pans. Despite the title of Winter Party, this set seems best suited to a sunny afternoon tea-dance. Off topic, Roland played at my local club last night and they passed out "Midori" promotional CDs, which was a very slightly tweaked version of this exact CD. But free. ;) Pick one up. This is a much better continuously mixed CD out there for LISTENING to. If I have to listen to tribal all day long, I'll go nuts. Enough of those mediocre trial music already. Kudos to DJ Roland Belmares for putting together such beautiful music. This is a rare gem in this period of tribal. Bottom line, this is a very good CD for circuit kings and queens to enjoy.
