Average review:  4.0/5.0 (18 reviews)

I wish there were more songs like this. It's pretty and well-written and tells a story. I'm so tired of the "You're hot, let's dance" junk that any 5th grader could write. Because it's pretty, the Sugardip mix seems to suit it best; it's not an anthem sort of song and some of the other mixes suppress the melody and lyrics. Some people actually listen to the words. By the way, everybody who comes up to my booth drools over the cover. (r.p., 9/14/2007 see all my reviews >> )

I got this CD soon after it was released in the UK in June and have listened dozens of times since then. The singer’s passionate voice and fantastic phrasing stands out in all the mixes, although in some more than others. Among the best, the only non dance version on this mainly upbeat CD, is the acoustic version done by Sugar Dip. It really shows this guy can sing! Sugar Dip’s extended version is full of energy. I also love the D-Star versions, and Brian Reyes and Julian Marsh produced fine mixes as well that get your feet off the floor. And of course Hex Hector spins his magic. The Toby Electro Radio Remix, which Ensign uses on his just released and totally incredible dance video (his best one yet, which shows this talented and pleasant to watch artist singing his heart out in a rainy Chicago) is both funky and light, which I find a nice offset to the somewhat sad lyrics. His original version, used on a parallel non-dance video, is fantastic as well, although not available on this CD (from his original “It’s My Life” CD, also a winner)! With all due respect to some of the previous reviewers, I think Ensign’s work here outshines the original Ace of Base version and remixes, as fine as some of them were. As I just read a few hours ago in another on line review (by DJ Michaelangelo) of this remix CD, it contains songs that are “well sung, with a generous variety of different remixes.” I couldn’t agree more!!   As a DJ for my dance floor I prefered Bryan Reyes mix. (R.T., 7/30/2007 see all my reviews >> )

 WOW,....Hot....! (l. lew, 7/29/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Yeah, yeah, yeah...the Hex is not up to par this time. This "anthemic" sound is anemic at best. The D-Star Funky Club Mix is the best one for me. It pulls back a little, and just lets the vocals do their magic. Incredible voice, and this one works for me...it's just a matter of finding the right mix for you.  Sean Ensign is hot! Love him! (D.N., 7/26/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Chris Cox did not remix Ace of Base's "Everytime it Rains"- The 'That Kid Chris Mix' is by Chris Staropoli. (R.L., 8/3/2007 see all my reviews >> )

More great music from Sean Ensign. Obviously, this is all about the Hex Hector Club Mix of "Everytime It Rains", which is orgasmically good. Highly recommended! (W.A., 7/26/2007 see all my reviews >> )

fun cover of the 1998 ace of base ballad (off of their "cruel summer" album). good to see hex producing again; his is my favorite of the lot, with sugadip and brian reyes close behind. i'm partial to the original recording, but this one gets me tappin' my toe. (j.b., 7/26/2007 see all my reviews >> )

I've been hard on Sean Ensign in the past. He's not my favorite male vocalist, but "Everytime It Rains" is a wonderful track. I don't care much for the Euro bubblegum versions and prefer the Hex Hector mix, which gives the track a certain weight it needs to transcend cheese. Nice work! --djmark marquis (M.M., 7/26/2007 see all my reviews >> )

While not a bad "cover" I'm tired of covers. I want NEW MUSIC. Where are all the song writers out there. Why are so few singer song writers writing anything new? If I want to dance to this track I'll pull out the original. With that said, It's nice to see remixes from Hex Hector. The scene has been missing something without him and Chris Cox lately. I have to agree that the Sugar Dip mix seems to fit the vocals the best. That said, what is with the horrid Julian Marsh mix. Sounds like he bought an old Casio Keyboard, turned it on and walked away. The instruments are so cheesy that Almigty & Klone would gag. And they love there cheese over there. The single looses a star just for including the Julian Marsh Mix. (M.C., 7/26/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Ace of Base's mix by Metro is far superior to Sean's efforts. Sorry Hottie. (M.G., 8/12/2007 see all my reviews >> )

I know everyone's going to gravitate to Hex Hector's Club Mix. And while he did a great job w/ Ensign's past release "Without You," Hector's sweeping mix doesn't fit Ensign's limited vocals this time around. Miami's SugarDip is frankly the only mix that works. (scottyB, 7/26/2007 see all my reviews >> )

These mixes are not bad, but I totally prefer Ace Of Base's "Everytime It Rains (That Kid Chris Cox Mix)" version. I know it's old, but hey, it still works for my dance floor -- DJ X. (P.H., 7/26/2007 see all my reviews >> )

It's okay. But, I gotta say the Ace Of Base version of this is much better. They need some 2007 versions. (S.R., 8/2/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Ace of Base did it sooooo much better. Nice bod, but ya need better pipes than Ensign's to make this one shine. (J.P., 7/28/2007 see all my reviews >> )
