Average review: 4.5/5.0 (8 reviews) What is that voice? Nadia's voice is something that makes me go to heaven at the same time that makes me feel the ground right down my feet. Since "Rapture" (that was a song that I've heard for surprise in a radio station months after its release) I've been searching for other things about them, so... this delirious song is released. This song is so good as "Rapture" and I really don't have words to express my feelings, even if I had them, I think that if I write them, my "friend" G.K. would like to kill me with 2000 guns! All versions are pretty good and anyone of them need to be a part of your next playlist. (R. ., 4/6/2003 see all my reviews >> )
I dunno about those who gave this tune a paltry 1 star rating, but every time I play this tune there is usually a stream of people coming up to ask me what it is with a napkin and a pen in their hand. Obviously, it\'s a matter of taste, but I am a lot more moved by \"At The End\" than I ever was by \"Rapture,\" which, actually, I also quite liked. This one just blows it away, though... and as far as not having produced any decent remixes... well... that\'s just nonsense. Saeed & Palash, Johnny Vicious, Scumfrog, Michael Parsberg, FEOS Treatment, JCA and iio themselves... and you still can\'t pick one you like? Give me a break, Sally. what a follow up. This gal has such a hypnotic voice it draws you in so easliy. This is the best package I have seen so far. the mixes are all good and offer a diverse range of takes on the song. Saeed & Palash give us a very haunting almost tribal mix, while Scumfrog delivers a a more mainstream version. Johnny vivious provides the hands in the air anthem mix while Fairlite goes the turbocharged trane path. Finally there is the Sat & holwer mix. I almost wanna call it breakbeat but its not, what is though is very dramatic and quite worht a listen. Probably not the best choice for the dancefloor, leave that to saeed, vicious or fairlite, but still a mix you should check out. Now if they would only release a cd with the armin van buuren mix of rapture.... (G.K., 3/11/2003 see all my reviews >> )
Iio had a lot to live up to after the massive impact of their classic tune "Rapture" and after a LONG wait, we finally have "At The End," a song that rivals "Rapture" in every way without ever sounding like a clone of it. Iio's "At The End" has an unmatched sophistocation, an emotional depth, and an incredible combination of these two elements with a subtle but ferocious mix by Johnny Vicious...the definitive version of this song. Saeed & Palash, Scumfrog, and Fairlite do a good job on their mixes, but none of them resonate like the Vicious remix. Another classic from Iio, 2 for 2 so far. Where's their album "Poetica"??? Thank God you've found out this in Germany.
Truly, this is a gem. I dare say it's even better than "Rapture". Nadia's vocals are even more hypnotic and the production is pure delight. All remixes are different from each other, but they all share that same atmosphere. You don't have to think twice. You don't even have to listen to me. Just buy it! Wow. Great single. I am really impressed with Fairlite. I wasn't familiar with them until this song and their mix for the new Ace Of Base (Unspeakable), but am glad to know of them now. The other mixes are awesome as well, obviously including the JV mix. Buy it buy it. (E.B., 2/10/2003 see all my reviews >> )
i love the midnight extended mix..the vocal is especially something to cream about...when i let my straight friends listened to it during christmas...they almost died just listening to her voice..and the video..unbelievable boring..nothing fancy ...but then at least you get to watch her singing and dancing..and watching the other dude playing with his mixer...BUY IT!!! To me, "Rapture" is the only hot single from this iio. This song's remixes have gone no where since last year. Why are they back now? I remember I spined this song like 1 or 2 times last year and that was it. People didn't even care to dance to it. Oh well, but I still spin "Rapture" and people don't complain -- DJ X.
