I was so excited when I found out this was to be the next single. You know when you discover a song that, at the time of discovery, is only an album track, and because it's not [yet] a single, you feel like it was sung just for you and whatever life event you append it to? Well a really close friend of mine kissed me one night, unexpectedly, and I spent the next week with a mixture of excitement and confusion whirling around my head - is this what I've been looking for all this time? Was the love I've been searching for been right in front of me without my knowing? Could we be more than friends? Isn't friendship the basis of a lasting relationship? I had just bought the Poetica album and this song came on one night when I was driving home from work and I was instantly bonded to it. Now that it's a single, and given all the attention of multiple remixes and a full CD release, I feel very validated in my realization of this song's beauty and content, and though Christian and I have since worked everything out (we didn't end up getting together, just to clear that up), I still just want to send him a copy of this single, just to show him some of what was going on in my head during that time. Frank Bailey starts out the single with an extremely strong progressive house mix that tastes like candy but provides like spinach, there's just nothing about it that can't be loved. George Acosta provides the "big name" mix on this disc, and to my surprise, actually is the mix that feels the least appropriate. It's a great mix, really, but the part that I get hung up on is how heavy the bass is. It's just about 800 steps too powerful. It sounds cool, but it pulls focus from Nadia's vocals and ends up just being a distraction from the song's content. And then to my complete surprise, the name I'd never heard of before, Orkan & Teemu, create what ended up being my favorite mix of the bunch. I can't decide if it's trance or house, it's got that Gabriel & Dresden syndrome, but it's got such a landscape contained within it. It goes up, down, in, out, and all in just under 8 minutes. Though this and the two former singles haven't been quite as "global" as "Rapture" or "At The End" were, they have a quality and a flavor to them that makes them just as loveable. This one's for you Christian.

Average review:  4.0/5.0 (11 reviews)

I like this CD single... I love the Bailey Club remix, Orkan & Teemu remix, Acosta remix. But where is the Bailey single edit...? :-( Still good. (J.R., 1/4/2007 see all my reviews >> )

This track is very catchy and addictive. It is a unique dance track with beautiful vocals that are different from anything else out there. Love it or not, this is not the same-old-same-old dance track. This a very welcome addition to any Dance music fan's collection. (H.L., 12/1/2005 see all my reviews >> )

Can't seem to tire of IIO's sound, at least not yet. Nadia's voice is mesmerizing. Her voice coupled with Acosta's remixes are heaven. This release is up there with "At The End," since I hated "Rapture" so much. (J.D., 10/30/2005 see all my reviews >> )

sorry, but i dont agree that rapture is their best single. i think all their singles so far hold their own. including this one. which may be their best yet. i love iio. their album is full of potential singles. (g.k., 9/12/2005 see all my reviews >> )

They've yet to release anything that isn't good, and a couple ("At the End" & "Rapture")that were amazing. I think this track is really good and I like the variety of mixes. I just find her voice mesmerizing (to borrow from Faith Evans). DJ Mark Bisson (M.B., 9/2/2005 see all my reviews >> )

lol, well this track is FINALLY charting on the Billboard Dance Club Play charts and moving fast. Took long enough! Anyway, grab this single and love it. The Frank Bailey mix at 128 beats per minute is absolutly heavenly to all of you big room tribal boys out there. Acosta's 2 mixes are strakly different from each other, I am a big fan of his mix that is NOT breakbeat. The T & O mix is solid, but ultimately forgetable for me. The big one hear is BAILEY grab this single and enjoy IIO's last offering and watch for "Who Is Watching", by Armin Van Buuren as Nadia Ali (IIO's former vocalist) performed the lyrics for that masterpiece. The big mix there was from Perry O'Neil. Ultra hot and simmering 3 minute intro. I give this one 4 stars as it's good but could have used some extra mixes given how many were available for IIO's first 4 singles (V.S., 4/10/2006 see all my reviews >> )

You know, the PB reviewer that tells intimint and/or empowering stories of his/ha that clicks or doesn't or whatever with the song, which I THINK IS BEUATIFUL. And I do the same thing all da time, girl, IF it's appropriate. ( Look at ATB-Seven Seven Years page. That's why I go to PB site every week. There's people of which this music is the love of life. The latest could represent the past, and is always a sort of hope the future is as inspiring. You know, what so f*cking cool? We all are communicating in the format of song/album reviews. YEAAA!!! (M.L., 9/29/2005 see all my reviews >> )

Even when Iio doesn't live up to their massive smash "At the End", it's a failure that is better than most acts' successes. "Kiss You" may not be an instant classic, but expect this one to be around a while. Iio are top notch talented artists and I, personally, never tire of their sound. --djmarkmarquis (M.M., 9/5/2005 see all my reviews >> )

So Iio is back with a new single after the rather lackluster "runaway". I think Kiss You is a strong song than that previous single or "Smooth" but not quite up there with "rapture" or "At the Ene". The Bailey mis is quite good and should impact most floors. The remaining mixes are good as well but none are as memorable as the Bailey. It's good to see that there are still some quality dance acts around that we can rely on. (G.K., 9/1/2005 see all my reviews >> )

I agree that Iio is a quality dance act and that this track is better than their previous release; however, am I the only one starting to tire of the Iio sound? (W.A., 9/1/2005 see all my reviews >> )

Kiss you goodbye!... DJ X. (P.H., 11/5/2005 see all my reviews >> )
