"After Dark" has always outlined the club scene - from the original release in 1978 and now 28 years later for new jocks and dancers to experience. The orignal is indeed a disco classic, but the current remixes allow us to experience it again in a whole new medium. Pattie is flowing freely, again and gives us a taste of the classic "disco-diva" feel. Thank goodness. Rick Gianatos thank you for not only bringing back the classic that set it all in motion, but continuing to believe! You are truly a GEM!  1st never ever think about buying anything basing your purchase on what others have 2 say. You will miss out. I have to clear my eye's of tears remembering days of old. Those musclebound men dancing at Oil Can Harry's. All them young men at Toad Hall, The End Up, Alfies. Those were the days. My heart too all them engineering boot flannel shirted 501 blue jean wearing men. This set FRIGGIN ROCKS!!! The drum programming is 'Right On Time'You can go everywhere with this one. Sounds of Cerrone, Dan Hartman, Santa Esmeralda, Gino Soccio, Giorgio Moroder and still come back to 1st base. Hit your pitch control and go slow baby. (D.P., 1/21/2006 see all my reviews >> )

One of my favorite Disco Divas is back! Yeah Pattie! I like the L.E.X. mixes, although the other mixes are good too. Something new next, O.K. Our Miss Brooks?! (C.M., North Hollywood) (C.M., 1/17/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Great track! I like the LA Tee mixes the best though. (W.A., 12/29/2005 see all my reviews >> )

Classic tune from the "Thank God It's Friday" soundtrack gets a nice new spin with L.E.X. giving it an updated tribal sound, Soulshaker adding some disco house and LA Tee giving it an electro vibe. So nice to hear Patti again with some new mixes for 2006. DJ Mark Bisson (M.B., 12/29/2005 see all my reviews >> )

I have a lot of difficulty with this song. I love it and hate it all at once. The vocal delivery is good, but overall I just don't like the lyrics (or there use). I like LEX mix in careful moderation, as it is mix friendly and does build up nicely toward the end. The overall package is good, but not a big homerun for me. (V.S., 8/24/2006 see all my reviews >> )

I like it but the remixes are very boring and her vocals are weak. (P.S., 8/13/2006 see all my reviews >> )

The vocals aren't working for me... but i still like the housey feel of the song, and put it on my latest demo cd. ;) (R.K., 1/6/2006 see all my reviews >> )

great classic tune, but the 2006 remixes aren't that great... -- DJ X. (P.H., 1/2/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Don't waste your money...stick with the original which is a classic. (Disco Billy C, 8/3/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Some things need to be left alone..... go back to the TGIF soundtrack the song still sounds fresh after all these years ... djlee, Honolulu (L.L., 1/15/2006 see all my reviews >> )

Oh my God! Classic destroyed!! Even down to the mug shot on the CD. What happened??? :( (j.m., 1/13/2006 see all my reviews >> )

I was so excited to hear that this obscure gem from the TGIF soundtrack was given a make-over. I even pulled out the original, and marvelled at its heady mix of congas, synths, and sexy vocals. So maybe I love that version too much to truly appreciate the new one? Perhaps. After all, LEX's take is pretty typical of the circuit/ tribal sound, sparse, bouncy, with little trace of melody. It's the best mix of the bunch here, which isn't saying much. The other two mixes drag bits of the vocal down soul-house and electro-house paths, neither to great effect, both sounding cheap and half-hearted. (J.H., 12/31/2005 see all my reviews >> )
