 Stevie Jewel: One Last Kiss

Domestic CD Single (2CD) This title is no longer available on CD.

There's a new Clubland darling and her name is Stevie Jewel. Not since Taylor Dayne's "How Many" has an artist shown such a devotion to their dance fans and released not one, but two packed discs of remixes and edits from huge name producers. Junior Vasquez, Tracy Young, Solar City, Josh Harris, Dena Cucca and the Perry Twins turn in multiple treatments of "One Last Kiss", a new standard in breakup anthems using the beautiful display of affection as the velvet curtain coming down on a relationship's closing night. Three days after the release of this double maxi single, Stevie performed at West Hollywood's Popstarz nightclub, mixing her own material with covers of artists like Dolly Parton, so it's clear she's stopping at nothing to build up her gay fanbase. Watch this one.

This is a great single packed with hot remixes. I am diggin all of the mixes and what a score here with the 2 discs. This is my pick of the month. (R.R., 10/22/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Wow! This is a truly amazing debut single from Canadian-born Stevie Jewel. This girl has come a long way and will go even further, I have no doubt about that. This incredible maxi-single features no fewer than 12 fantastic remixes of "One Last Kiss", which is also known as "Seal The Deal". My favourite version though is still the Josh Harris Vocal Club Mix, which couldn't be more perfect. My congratulations to Stevie and all involved in this project. (W.A., 10/3/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Nice selection of remixes here. I'd have to say the Josh Harris & Dena Cucci mixes stand out, followed by Solar City & Tracy Young. I didn't care for Junior's or the Perry Twins. (Robb, 12/6/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Aren't we all looking for the new Kylie? Good vocals and production, a harder edge and lots of great remixers in your corner--this is one smart girl. It might take a while, but Stevie Jewel is gonna be big. Very, very good--but the next song might be great. (r.p., 11/2/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Stevie Jewel has the combination of all the elements needed to go far in pop dance. Great to see a young talent enter the market with a package as strong as this. My top remixes would be the Josh Harris and Solar City. (E.T., 10/14/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Now this is a track I can sink my teeth into. A sharp vocal, great lyrics, and a sh*t load of great mixes to choose from. Josh Harris, Tracy Young and Solar City do great work her. I exceptionally love the Dena Cucci mix, personally. And as you all know, I'm not a Perry Twins fan. And this mix does nothing to persuade me. But I'll keep an open mind and hopefully one day they'll do it for me. What I don't get is Junior's direction. Do people play this sound? Seriously? I'm going to have a chance to see him play in San Francisco soon, and I'm really interested in hearing this bizarre remix style played out. Maybe it sounds completely different on a huge sound dydtem, but I would never risk it. But Congrats to Stevie. And excellent first release. (M.C., 10/3/2007 see all my reviews >> )

I like Stevie Jewel. The best vocal mix by Josh Harris is still only a C. The J.V. Dub is probably the best hook. Don't ask me why the Perry Twins are on here, maybe to make the other mixes seem even better. Need more bang for the buck on this, sorry. (J.L., 10/5/2007 see all my reviews >> )

Not sure what the hype is on this one here? Bad vocals, typical remixes, packaged and sold to the dancefloors? I think not. Hopefully this will be "One Last Single" for Stevie Jewel. Not feeling it. (j.m., 10/21/2007 see all my reviews >> )
